Huntington opened the year with narrow non-league losses to Northport and Newfield, but quickly rebounded with a thrilling 25-23 victory over North Babylon and a dominant 34-14 win at Smithtown East. The team’s midseason surge included a 21-0 shutout of Bellport, a 42-8 rout of Copiague, and a statement 45-0 win over Deer Park, powered by junior Yasir Jones’s 201 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
