2024 Season Review

The 2024 season was another testament to Ward Melville’s football pedigree. The Patriots finished with a stellar 9-2 overall record and an 8-1 mark in Division 1 play, capturing the top spot in the regular season standings. They opened the campaign with a string of impressive victories, including a hard-fought 21-14 win at Sachem North and a dominant 24-7 performance over Sachem East. The team’s resilience shone brightest in close contests, edging Floyd 22-21 and Lindenhurst 21-20 in two of the year’s most dramatic games

Ward Melville’s only regular-season setbacks came against Longwood, with the Patriots avenging an earlier defeat by besting the Lions 14-7 in the playoffs before falling to Floyd in the Section XI Division 1 final.
