Islip Varsity Football

Islip High School, located on Long Island’s South Shore, is home to the Buccaneers—a football program steeped in tradition, tenacity, and a commitment to developing student-athletes of character. 2024 Season Review

The 2024 Buccaneers battled through a competitive Division III schedule, finishing with a 5-4 overall record and earning a spot in the playoffs. Islip posted signature wins over Rocky Point, Miller Place, and a dramatic 21-20 victory against Eastport-South Manor. The team’s defense was a highlight, keeping games close and giving the Bucs opportunities to compete deep into the fourth quarter.

Although the playoff run ended in the quarterfinals, the experience gained by underclassmen and the leadership of the senior class set a strong foundation for future success. The Buccaneers’ balanced offense and determined defense were hallmarks of their 2024 campaign.
