2024 Season Review

The 2024 season marked a year of rebuilding and resilience for the Raiders, who finished with a 2-5 record in Section XI Division I play. Patchogue-Medford opened the year with a tough slate, including a 0-41 loss at Connetquot and a narrow 10-14 defeat against Central Islip. The team notched its first win in a thrilling 34-29 road victory over Riverhead and followed up with a convincing 24-7 win at Brentwood. Despite setbacks against Commack, Bay Shore, and Lindenhurst, the Raiders showed flashes of improvement and competitiveness throughout the fall1.

Unfortunately, the season ended with a forfeit of the final scheduled game against Sachem East due to a disciplinary incident, as the district prioritized accountability and integrity in response to a vandalism issue3.
