Regular Season Success

Commack finished the regular season with a strong 6-2 record, placing them among the division’s top seeds. The Cougars started fast, rattling off wins against Patchogue-Medford (30-13), Riverhead (41-14), and Sachem East (28-7). Their only regular-season losses came to powerhouse William Floyd (14-35) and a narrow defeat to Walt Whitman (28-35), both of which were hard-fought contests.

One of the season’s highlights was a thrilling 29-28 victory over Lindenhurst, showcasing Commack’s ability to win close games under pressure. The Cougars also closed out the regular season with a dominant 42-0 win over Central Islip, building momentum heading into the playoffs.
